J.D. Martinez hit a two-run homer and an RBI single to power the Red Sox’s 5-3 win — and series victory — over the Blue Jays on Sunday at Rogers Centre. Mitch Moreland notched an RBI with a bases-loaded walk, and Xander Bogaerts brought home a run with a groundout. Boston starter Drew Pomeranz struggled with command, striking out six but walking five over four frames, while Toronto’s Joe Biagini yielded four runs in 4 2/3 innings. The Jays’ offense came in the third inning, on Justin Smoak’s two-run double and Russell Martin’s RBI single.
